Life insurers are facing broad criticism for profiting from the death benefits of soldiers and other life insurance policyholders even after a claim is supposed to be paid. Insurers are using so-called “retained benefit accounts” to hold onto payments they owe to families of deceased policyholders. They deposit the funds in insurer-controlled accounts, rather than transferring the payment to a bank or issuing a check to beneficiaries. The practice allows the insurer to hold onto money and continue earning interest on funds they are otherwise required to pay out as claims. When your granny takes the driver seat, don’t be scared, instead feel safe and secured as research show older people drive safer.
In a report by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), it is revealed that only a small number of elderly driver files car insurance claims. In the United States, 78 percent of the 28 million population of citizens aged 70 and above had drivers’ licenses since 2008.

Did you know that around a fifth of cheap car insurance providers will cover you should you get into an accident with an uninsured driver? Sorry, the phrasing was a little off there – it should have read that only a fifth of policies will cover drivers who obey the law and pay their dues against those that do not on the road. This is of course an absolute joke and an issue that needs to be resolved.
The problem is that most drivers do not actually know whether or not their cheap car insurance will cover them against accidents with uninsured drivers or not until they have to claim on it because that is exactly what has happened.

A renowned and respected performance car insurance provider has recently reported that more than 800 people die on the roads every year as a direct result of road rage, or disrespectful driving as it is commonly termed. This is showing a rise year on year and proving that we are getting worse on the roads. Not only are drivers getting ruder but they are also causing more accidents whichwill ultimately put car insurance premiums up.
