A majority of the state require the drivers to carry a minimum level of coverage through auto insurance on their vehicles. Now industry experts and officials from the government are emphasizing to customers that these minimum levels of auto insurance protection are not sufficient and in case of a serious accident, additional coverage is highly required. Florida is one of the places where there is a strong case for additional auto insurance protection. The minimum requirement for drivers in this state remains amongst the lowest in the country.

As advertised to consumers, hybrid cars are less expensive because of its energy efficient quality. It uses less gas, is eco-friendly, and can have discounts in an auto insurance policy. A survey by the Insurance Information Network of California (IINC) was delivered concerning collision fees imposed on out-of-town and at-fault motorists during an accident. This includes fees charged when the state’s emergency team responds to the incident. The poll shows that only one in five people living in California agree to the fees. According to the data gathered by the IINC, fifty percent of the participants do not agree with it while 26 percent of them are unsure.

HARTFORD, CT — Just days after a consumer advocacy group called for Connecticut Insurance Commissioner Thomas R. Sullivan to step down for approving large premium rate increases since passage of the federal health care reform law, Sullivan notified Gov. Jodi M. Rell that he will resign from the post Nov. 12.
